It is important to explore what it means to live as a faithful people in a culture and world where some are privileged and others are not. People’s Church is committed to the full inclusion and participation of all in the church, whatever your race, gender, economic status, or sexual orientation.
Adult book study groups have been held to educate ourselves further on race in society, and a Social Justice Team has also been formed to discern next steps. To find a study group, go to the Adult Growth Groups page.

2022 Mercy and Justice Resource List
During 2022, we held five book study/discussion groups around five Social Justice topics: Racial Justice, Climate Justice, Economic Justice, Health Care Justice, and Food Justice. We covered a lot of ground in 30 weeks! Here is a list of the books and YouTube videos we used during the year: Resource List
October 2, what a day it was! A beautiful fall day, Sunday celebration, and then the Green Fair. The Social Justice Team has chosen both Voting Rights and Climate Justice as our focus projects. Our booth at the Green Fair sought to express to attendees that Climate Justice equals Social Justice, which then equals Equality for All. It has been shown that climate justice will improve, not only our earth, but also economic and health conditions. The United Nations has 17 directives on issues to be addressed globally, one of which is climate change. Our booth asked Green Fair attendees to brainstorm ideas to help reduce our carbon footprint. Did we get the suggestions!!! Here are the ideas posted on our giant footprint that you can try at home:
