Dave Ramsey’s GENERATION Change:
a Study for Teens on What God Says About Money
People's UMC, Sundays
June 23, July 7, 14, 21
6-7:30pm

"Sadly, few teenagers are prepared for the realities of personal finance. Only 51% know how to write a check, and only 34% can balance a checkbook. The reality is that few students understand the principles of a healthy financial lifestyle. The result? The next generation spends money they don't have to buy things they don't need to impress people they don't even like. It's time for a change.

Generation Change is prepared to help you make a difference. Taught on video by personal money-management expert Dave Ramsey, Generation Change is a four-part Bible study that will teach your students about money from a biblical perspective."

Fast Forward here we come! We’ll gather at the church at 6. Skate time is 6:45-8:45. The cost is only $3 including skate rental. Permission slips can be found online or on the youth bulletin board outside of the Sanctuary. Youth must RSVP by Sunday, May 5th so we can make sure we have enough drivers.

Silent Auction Results! Holy man do the people of PUMC know how to support their youth! Through our silent auction held in early April we raised an amazing $2,265 towards our summer mission trips. This is fantastic. Whether it was through donating an item or service, helping with the auction, or bidding on auction items, we thank you so very much for your support!

Confirmation Sunday: The 8th & 9th Grade Confirmation students will be confirmed on Sunday, May 19th during the 10:30am worship service.   There will also be confirmation rehearsal on Saturday, May 18th at 6:00pm.

Dinner and a Movie:  Our next Dinner and a Movie Night is Friday, May 17. Join us for a fun evening with the featured film The Sound of Music. This will be a potluck style dinner so please bring a dinner or side item to share. Beverages will be provided by the church.

Children and Youth Ministry Volunteer Appreciation is scheduled for Sunday, May 12. During the course of the school year dozens of volunteers spend just shy of 5,000 volunteer hours by serving the children, youth and families of PUMC. Isn’t that an amazing number!!! So, on May 12 please be sure to thank the volunteers that are sharing their faith in this way. There will be a special reception honoring their ministry in the lower level between services that day and they will be recognized for their ministry during 9am worship as well.
