The 5 Love Languages
Wednesdays, March 7, 14 & 21
6-7pm
Fireside Room
Facilitators: Pastor Jon Claude & Barbara Mahr
- With over 30 years as a marriage counselor, Dr. Chapman noticed a pattern: everyone he had ever counseled had a “love language,” a primary way of expressing and interpreting love.
- Of the countless ways we can show love to one another, five key categories, or five love languages, proved to be universal and comprehensive—everyone has a love language, and we all identify primarily with one of the five love languages: Words of Affirmation, Quality Time, Receiving Gifts, Acts of Service, and Physical Touch.
- The 5 Love Languages® has helped countless couples identify practical and powerful ways to express love, simply by using the appropriate love language.
- The three classes will include 1) an introduction, 2) a description of the 5 love languages, and 3) identifying your (and your partner’s) primary love language.
- Childcare available!
Sensory Integration
Sundays, March 18 and 25
10:15am
Fireside Room
Facilitator: Laura Flood
- First class: What is this sensory talk all about? What is sensory processing, sensory integration, sensory defensiveness and how does it affect our outlook on the world around us.
- Second class: Look at strategies to help our kids (and ourselves!) see the world as a positive place to be, and to look at ourselves and honoring the sensory being we are in our modes of work, play and leisure, worship and spiritual styles, and relationships.
