Where Hearts are Heard

Serve the Church

The following ministries assist with the management and maintenance of our facility, as well as serving the members of our church community in pesonal ways.

There our always more tasks than hours in the day. In addition, help is needed when staff are on vacation or away for other reasons. If you like office work,  Office Ministry might be the place for you to share your talents.

PUMC has a great kitchen and we make great use of it.  If you like hanging around kitchens, check out the Wednesday Night Supper ministry and the Food/Receptions Ministry.

Our Hospitality, Connections and Member Care Team does work that is essential to helping connect members, offer hospitality and help us look out for each other.  New team members are always welcome!

The Soul Gardeners are volunteers who keep the church gardens looking beautiful.  The gardeners meet a few times a year to plan projects and events.  During the growing season, volunteers pick the type of work they would like to do (planting, watering, weeding, etc) and then set their own schedule.  Please contact Susie Berg if you would like more information at 882-0988.

We take prayer seriously!  The Prayer Team Ministry is all about praying for others.  Members of the Prayer Team pray for the needs of the congregation, their families and friends, and for the world.  Some members help in the office by assembling the weekly prayer letter.  Others spend time during the week to pray on their own time.  Coordinated by Nina Noyce.  Please contact the church office if you are interested in this Ministry.

The Transportation Ministry takes elderly and chronically ill persons to medical appointments,  If you can give a ride, or need a ride, contact  Susan Payne, Parish Nurse 835-3755 x24

Like to knit or crochet? The Prayer Shawl Ministry makes warms hugs for times when our members need a boost. Contact  Susan Payne, Parish Nurse 835-3755 x24 for more information.

The Men's Helping Hands group has a work day a few times a year to do small chores for our members who need a little extra help.  Watch The Link and the weekly church bulletin for an upcoming work day, if you would like to lend a hand or you need a hand.
