Community Garden The Oregon Community Garden is sponsored by PUMC, and we receive advice and support from the Community Action Coalition of South Central Wisconsin, the organization that sponsors many of the community gardens in Dane County. Members of PUMC have provided substantial people power to help maintain and improve the garden. This beautiful new garden shed was erected June 7th to serve the Oregon Community Garden. The shed was constructed by the Construction Explorations class at Oregon High School, under the supervision of teacher Chris Tourdot. The shed was paid for with start-up funds received from the Community Action Coalition and the Madison Community Foundation. Boettcher's towing donated their services to move the shed from the high school to the garden site.
The community garden plots are 18' x 18'. Each gardener also has a share of a raised bed. Plots are assigned in April and May each year. Returning gardeners can keep the same plot every year. Plots are available to all - you do not have to be affiliated with Peoples Church to rent a plot. If you are interested in renting a plot contact Barbara Feeney at 608.843.2272 or bafeeney@gmail.com
Plot fees are as shown below.
